A Banner Year

The MOSAIC community wrapped up a great year that brought 100 new residents and saw new business openings, construction, events and more.

Strengthening Community

2023 was another banner year for strengthening the MOSAIC community. We hosted 60

events, bringing 10,600+ guests to campus.

The Philip H. Kohl MOSAIC Family Commons was busy from May to December with Friday night concerts and movies, Wellness Wednesdays and – new for 2023 – jazz nights and farmers markets featuring local vendors with an array of farm goods and more.

Meanwhile, our honeybees produced 80 pounds of honey. Our hives had to be moved due to construction, but they’ll be back in Spring 2024.

Other 2023 highlights included the dedication of Leaning In, MOSAIC’s newest art installation; the dedication of Northwood High School’s football scoreboard donated by Chatham Park and MOSAIC; and the installation of Blink electric vehicle charging stations.

New Tenants + Residents

Over 100 residents joined the MOSAIC community, and so did new tenant Peoples Coffee. 79°West Coworking Space and Innovation Hub moved to its new 20,000-square-foot space and continued hosting educational and networking events, some presented by UNC-CH’s Innovate Carolina.

At Northwood Landing, Lowes Foods celebrated the grand opening of its 51,000-square-foot grocery store. Other new tenants included Haw River Animal Hospital and Great Clips. Also, ground was broken for MOSAIC’s newest neighbor, the garden-style apartment community Medley at Northwood Landing.

Completed + Under Construction

At MOSAIC, construction continued at Hampton Inn & Suites and on a medical office building, which will house Triangle Family DentistryCarolina Orthodontics & Children’s Dentistry, and Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming.

Nearby, at Northwood Landing, construction was underway for Dunkin’, FirstHealth, Hubie’s and Zaxby’s.
