Northwood High School dedicated a new football scoreboard on Monday, February 20 at 3:30 pm. Chatham Park and MOSAIC donated the scoreboard to the school to continue growing its relationship with the Pittsboro community. The previous scoreboard was nonfunctioning.
Athletics Director Cameron Vernon offered comments about the benefit of the school’s relationship with Chatham Park and MOSAIC. He said, “We’ve had a lot of problems with the scoreboard, and it just needed an upgrade. Without your help, we wouldn’t be able to provide our student athletes with these upgrades.”
VP Robin Rose of Chatham Park, Kirk Bradley of MOSAIC, and Principal Dr. Bradford Walston also commented on the partnership and the excitement surrounding the new scoreboard. About twenty students in their athletic uniforms celebrated when the scoreboard was lit up for the event.
