Every month, 79°West Innovation Hub offers new opportunities for Chatham County residents to learn, explore and grow. From health and wellness initiatives to professional development, MOSAIC’s flagship coworking, private office and event space boasts a full calendar of community programming.
Recent highlights include this summer’s 79°West Community Health Fair. The event connected attendees with local healthcare providers, wellness information, screenings and resources.
Other events celebrated Pittsboro’s vibrant art scene by welcoming area painters, sculptors, printmakers and mixed-media artists to the hub. The Chatham Art Guild Reception and Fall Art Social brought artists and community members together to showcase local talent.
Educational Events on Repeat
In addition, this year has seen the development of recurring educational event series, including:
- Mental Health Matters. Danny Eller, LCSW, tackles mental health topics and offers insight into emotional well-being on the last Friday of each month.
- Shanklin Wealth Series. Get straightforward financial advice from the experts at Shanklin Wealth on the second Tuesday morning of the month.
- Innovate Carolina Series. Geared toward growth-minded professionals, this series of tech talks offers attendees actionable insights on the third Thursday of the month.
Wellness Programming at 79°West
79°West is expanding its focus on well-being with new programming led by Chris Ecklund of Integrated Performance, the hub’s new wellness facilitator.
On the second Wednesday of each month, Ecklund will utilize 79°West’s on-site gym to help members discover practical ways to incorporate healthy movement into their daily routines. A recent session, Pain Isn’t Always the Problem, explored how movement, mobility and strength contribute to recurring pain, encouraging participants to address underlying causes.
Wellness programming rounds out 79°West’s diverse offerings, bringing networking, local culture, and personal and professional development together under one roof.
