Another reason to gather around the table is coming soon to MOSAIC. a Tavolo Italian Eatery opens its doors in September, bringing fresh, handcrafted Italian cuisine and old world hospitality to Chatham Park‘s growing dining scene.
The restaurant is the newest venture from local restaurateurs Greg and Maria Lewis, the husband and wife team behind The Sycamore at Chatham Mills and 39 West Catering. With a name that translates to “at the table,” a Tavolo promises to bring family and friends together over innovative takes on familiar flavors.
A Neighborhood Italian Restaurant
For Greg Lewis, a Tavolo was inspired by a passion for blending the familiar with the unexpected. “Our vision for a Tavolo is to create the kind of neighborhood Italian restaurant where people can gather often, whether they are sharing a family dinner, meeting friends for a drink or enjoying a special evening,” Greg Lewis says.
Ideal for elegant date nights and celebratory family-style meals alike, the menu emphasizes fresh ingredients and respect for traditional techniques. Expect wood-fired pizzas, handmade pasta, succulent meatballs, and chef-selected antipasti platters. A thoughtfully curated selection of wine and craft cocktails rounds out an authentic dining experience.
Finding a Home at MOSAIC
A Tavolo will contribute to the energy and sense of community developing at MOSAIC. “It feels like a natural home for a Tavolo,” Lewis says. “We look forward to welcoming people to the table and creating a restaurant that becomes a lasting part of the Pittsboro community.”
As Chatham Park continues to evolve, a Tavolo represents another example of community-driven growth. “Greg and Maria have earned an outstanding reputation for creating memorable dining experiences,” says MOSAIC Developer Kirk Bradley. “It’s wonderful to see new dining options spring up from within our Pittsboro community.”
