MOSAIC is a step closer to having a new residential neighbor. Ground was recently broken on Medley at Northwood Landing, a garden-style apartment community that will transform the housing landscape in Chatham County.
Carolina Commercial Contractors and Lee-Moore Capital Co. celebrated the milestone with an official ceremony on Sept, 7, 2023.
The community, designed by architect Kerry Finley, promises to help meet the region’s growing need for housing. Of Medley’s 312 units, 15% will be dedicated to workforce housing. The community’s first apartments are set to be completed in spring 2024.
During the ceremony, Kirk Bradley, of Lee-Moore Capital, said the project is not only necessary but also provides “a beautifully situated housing opportunity for those choosing to live, work and play in Pittsboro and Chatham County.”
Pittsboro Mayor Cindy Perry emphasized the project’s strategic location to local shops, a grocery store, and essential services and its proximity to the town’s downtown.
“It takes significant collaboration to reach this point,” said Carter Keller, representing Carolina Commercial Contractors. “Today, we acknowledge the tireless efforts of our partners and stakeholders, all of whom have been instrumental in making this project a reality.”
Many partners and stakeholders were present at the groundbreaking, including teams from Chatham Park, Mosaic at Chatham Park, Chatham County Economic Development Corp., Finley Design, plus elected officials and other community leaders.
